Manual user administration

Note: Depending on the BOC product, the administration tasks can be either done via the Administration Toolkit (Rich Client) or with the latest release ADONIS 16, directly in the Web Client.

 

How can I quickly assign a role to a set of users (user group)?

Web Client

(ADONIS 16, ADOIT 17, ADOGRC 13 and up)

Step	Description	Picture
1	Open System Roles. Choose the role you want to assign.
2	On the right side, you have an overview of the assigned members. Click on Add members.
3	There choose the concerned user group and click on Add.
4	To finish it up, click on Save on the top right side.

 

Rich Client

(pre ADONIS 16, ADOIT 17 and ADOGRC 13)

1	Open the User Management.
2	Open the tab Manage System Roles.
3	Choose the role you want to assign, right click on it and Edit system role... There is a symbol to add further members.
4	Click OK, and then click again OK to save the change.

 

How can I quickly assign a license to a user group?

Note: This is only possible, if the license consists of Named Use Scenarios.

1	Open Users. There click on More Options on the top right side.
2	There you will see Named user in the beginning of the list. Click on it.
3	Choose the scenario you want to assign and click on Add named users.
4	There you have an overview of the users. Choose the corresponding users. Then click on OK and Close.

 

Rich Client

(pre ADONIS 16, ADOIT 17 and ADOGRC 13)

1	1. In the Administration Toolkit under User Management, choose Named Use.
2	2. There you have an overview of the Named Use scenarios at your disposal. Choose the scenario you wish to assign to certain members by clicking on the top right symbol.
3	3. You will see a list of a user catalogue. Mark the ones you wish to assign. Then click on OK and Close.

 

Can I re-assign a license from one user to another?

This situation corresponds to the Named Use Scenario, where a certain license is assigned to one user.

(ADONIS 16, ADOIT 17, ADOGRC 13 and up)

1	Open Users. There click on More options on the top right side.
2	There you will see Named user in the beginning of the list. Click on it.
3	Expand the view of the concerned scenario. With the x symbol you can remove the scenario of a user.
4	Click on Add named Users.
5	Choose a user from the catalogue and click on OK and then on Close.

 

Rich Client

(pre ADONIS 16, ADOIT 17 and ADOGRC 13)

Step	Description	Picture
1	In the Administration Toolkit, open Named Use.
2	Extend the view of the concerned scenario.
3	Click on the user whom you want to remove the scenario and click on the symbol on the top right.
4	Now click on the concerned Scenario and on the Add named users symbol on the top right.
5	Choose the user you want to assign the scenario, click on OK and then close.
